It's That Time Again

Sydney was finally able to play her first soccer game for the season. We have had so much
rain here that her first two games were cancelled. Today was hot and very humid and they had to play a "man down" the whole game since only 6 girls could make it to a Sunday game. The girls were hot and tired but WON!!!

The Tough Decision...

Sydney has had a great start to the new school year. She loves her teacher and is doing amazingly well. Their school has a new behavior chart where every child starts the day off on "green" which is good. They can then go up to blue if they show extraordinary good behavior or go down to yellow, purple, orange, and red if they misbehave. Blue is not given out often and usually 1-2 kids obtain the "blue" goal each day.
Sydney has obtained the "Blue" level 3 times this week! In doing so she received an award for Student of the Week by the principle of the school! She is making good grades and her reading is finally taking off. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work.
WAY TO GO SYDNEY!
So I took her to the store to pick out a toy for her good behavior and hard work. She was so excited!

One Year Anniversary Portraits

These were taken on June 27th by a wonderful photographer Amy from Impact Photography. I am finally able to start scrapping them to put in a family portrait book. They are wonderful. I will add them as I scrap them.
After I scrap them all I might play around with tints and colors on Photoshop...to busy right now to attempt it.

Older Children that Want to be Adopted...

If anyone is considering adopting an older child...please take a look at this blog. You can view the child's full pictures and information once you simply ask the agency for the password.
Please pass this link along to other adoption groups or blogs. The agency really wants to find homes for these children and most of them desperately want a family.
I really feel for the 10 year old "Shirley" who wants a caucasion family and drew a picture of herself with caucasion parents. She knows this may be her last chance to find her forever family and seemed very worried about it.
So sad.
I feel that I must try to advocate for them in whatever way I can.
Here is the blog: Hope Journey
Please spread the word... the agency has asked everyone to spread the word.
