My Silly Girl!

I love Sydney for so many reasons and one of them is her love for Spiderman. Actually, it is not what I wanted in the beginning for my little girl but you just can't help but love her for it.
I bought her a new Spiderman tin lunch box and she carried it around all weekend. I took her to pick out her birthday theme supplies and of course she chose Spiderman (small sigh).
Some people ask why I allow my little girl to buy Spiderman (boy stuff) stuff... well, I feel that she should pick out the toys that she likes since she has never had the opportunity before she came to America. I am hoping she will grow out of her Super Hero fascination and move onto dolls or something, but I am not holding my breath on that one.
She certainly knows what she likes and has a strong opinion...I guess that it a good thing.

It is great that she has her own personality. I think she might grow out of it one day, but for now it is really cute!

Ah ya gotta love the tom boys. My daughter Kate who has been home 2.5 yrs from Guangzho is a tom boy to the core. She loves basketball and is a wild thing to the core.

I think it's great that you let her be herself without trying to change her into someone she isn't. I was a hardcore tomboy growing up and still am into my 30's. My mother tried hard at times to change my ways but it never worked and I sometimes resented her for it. She eventually accepted it so it worked out in the end. Today, my family, hubby and friends love me for who I am and that's all that matters. Keep up the good work. You've got a wonderful blessing in your daughter.
